How to find us
By Airport Bus
Exit the terminal. Take a taxi (approx. £20) or bus. The Airport bus (Airlink 100) stop is right outside the main Arrivals door. Journey time is about 25 minutes (£3.00 single/£5.00 return). Stay on the bus to its terminus at Waverley Bridge (opposite Waverley Station) in the city centre. Then take a taxi or walk to CALL. Turn away from Princes’ Street, go to the corner, then left down Market Street. Then follow the directions from Waverley Station.
Exit the station, turn left and left again into Market Street (or - quicker but not wheelchair accessible, up the stairs and left to Market Street exit), then cross the road and fork right into Jeffrey Street. At the traffic lights at the end of Jeffrey Street, cross the road (to Ragamuffin) and turn left to go downhill on the High Street/Canongate. Opposite Fresco (sandwich bar) there is an archway. Turn right through the archway onto St John’s Street, go down the left hand side and left through the big open gateway into the main quadrangle of Moray House. Paterson’s Land is the large building with the pointy roof and large window.
Ask for Moray House in St. Johns Street, off Holyrood Road (taxi drivers will NOT know how to find CALL Scotland or Paterson’s Land). Get out inside the main quad of Moray House.
By Car From the West (M8, A702)
To avoid problems in town get on A720 City Bypass going East & South to Sheriff Hall Roundabout, then take exit A7 North exit, signposted ‘City Centre’ to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow round in ‘Old Town’ lane, under railway bridge, then left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) for approx. 2 miles. Arthur’s Seat (large hill) is on your right. Go straight on through various traffic lights, eventually down a steep hill (The Pleasance) and turn right at the bottom onto Holyrood Road.
By Car From the East (A1) and From the South (A68, A7, A701)
Take/join City Bypass (A720) (follow signs for Forth Road Bridge from the East) to Sheriff Hall Roundabout, then take exit A7 North exit, signposted ‘City Centre’ to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow round in ‘Old Town’ lane, under railway bridge, then left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) for approx. 2 miles. Arthur’s Seat (large hill) is on your right. Go straight on through various traffic lights, eventually down a steep hill (The Pleasance) and turn right at the bottom onto Holyrood Road.
By Car From North (M90)
Via Forth Bridge, sign posted Edinburgh City Centre (A90) Queensferry Road. After Holiday Inn on your right, turn second right at mini roundabout up Belford Road, straight on past art galleries, twisting down, round and up past cathedral to traffic lights. Go straight over onto Torphichen Street to the far end, up the hill to right then left past the International Conference Centre. Take middle lane through traffic lights onto Bread Street. Go along WestPort, Grassmarket, Cowgate, to Holyrood Road.
There is an NCP car park at St John’s Hill, Holyrood Road near the traffic lights on the junction with the Cowgate, the Pleasance and St. Mary’s Street (map).
Once parked, go down Holyrood Road, cross and turn left into St. John’s Street, then first right into the big gateway and into the main quadrangle of Moray House to Paterson’s Land. Disabled drivers can park in one of two marked disabled parking spaces at the front door of Paterson’s Land inside the Moray House quad.
