A major research project initiated by the AAC Research Group in Stirling.

ISAAC
The International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication.

Scotland has played a significant role in the world of Augmentative Communication, for such a small country. In addition to the work of the organisations involved directly with Augmentative Communication in Practice: Scotland, major research is carried out at the Universities of Stirling and Dundee.

There are lots of web sites, e.g. The CALL Centre, where extensive collections of links to material on Augmentative and Alternative Communication can be found. We have chosen to list only two sites outwith Scotland: Communication Matters and ISAAC (the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
