Group Scan Movement |
Group scanning is used where the selection set consists of a large number of items as in, for example, an on-screen keyboard containing the letters of the alphabet and punctuation marks. In Group scanning, the selection set is is divided into a number of groups of items which have some logical or spatial relationship. Selecting an item using group scanning is a two stage process: first scan to and select the group containing the item you want; then scan to and select the item in the group. |
